Baginton - Careless Driver Disqualified and Sentenced

Dear Resident

Thanks to dashcam footage, a 25-year-old driver was disqualified for six months after a careless overtake on Silver Eagle Way in Baginton in April 2025. He failed to stop or report the collision and was also sentenced to 120 hours unpaid work.

This demonstrates how valuable dashcam can be, as the footage provided clear evidence of what had happened. The other driver stated he could find no damage to his car, but the footage clearly shows the damage sustained and we were able to use this as evidence in court.

Residents in Baginton raised concern about excessive vehicle speed, dangerous driving and anti-social use of vehicles in their community. We're working with partner organisations and community representatives to try and make Baginton a safer place to live, work and visit.
